Melon 1
The first melon has a dark green skin with nice contrasting stripes and a pleasant creamy yellow ground spot. Its shape is regular, and the stem is starting to dry out a little, which is usually a good sign. Based on this, it was most likely picked at the right time.Trying New Recipes
This is the best choice of the four. All its important characteristics indicate that it should be sweet, juicy and ripe inside. If you could only take one home, this would probably be the best choice.
Melon 2
The second melon has a very large ground spot and is more light than creamy yellow. Its skin is not as nice either, it is slightly paler, which may indicate that it has not yet reached the perfect level of ripeness. This may still make it edible, but the flavor will probably be less intense than that of melon 1
