Don´t throw away lemon seeds!A natural Kitchen secret

💡 Pro Tip: If you aren’t making jam right away, store your lemon seeds in a small container or zip-top bag in the freezer. Once you’ve collected enough, make a sachet whenever you need it!Did you know that lemon seeds are naturally rich in pectin? Pectin is a natural gelling agent that helps thicken homemade jams and preserves without needing artificial additives or store-bought thickeners!

Here is how to save and use them:

🧺 What You Need:
Lemon seeds (saved whenever you squeeze fresh lemons).
A small piece of cheesecloth or clean breathable fabric.
Kitchen twine or string.
📝 How to Prepare and Use:
Collect & Rinse: Save the seeds from your lemons and give them a quick rinse with water to remove extra pulp.
Make the Pouch: Place the seeds in the center of your cheesecloth, gather the edges, and tie it securely with string to make a small sachet (as shown in the image).
Add to Your Jam:
When cooking homemade jam (strawberry, fig, apricot, or orange), toss the seed sachet directly into the pot with the fruit and sugar.
As it simmers, the seeds release natural pectin, helping the jam set and reach the perfect consistency.
Remove & Discard: Once your jam reaches the desired thickness, simply remove the sachet and discard it before jarring.
